Reference: Music

I just gave the animatic to musician. He asked me for script and music storyboard. I never do it before.
I had to write the timing, instruments and dynamics that I want.

I've got the references, the amazing Thailand campaign which is old Thai traditional style. There're many Thai instruments like 'Thai xylophone', 'Thai flute', 'Sor', etc.
And combined with P'bird's song, you will hear many diffrents Thai instruments in the song. But in fast and fun style.

I solved the problems by taking out the reflection. As Aj.Kan's suggestion, used the occlusion pass technique
made the shadow on elements.

It's time to modeling again!

I import vector files of Thailand famous places into Maya.

And started to place their position,

I have finished the Center region.

I also test on the HDR sky

Yesterday was the first day for Ta-Luy-Tam-Tie on air in TV! Woohoo

It was my first time that my work showing up to public,

I and my family were so excited!

Illustrated Thailand attractions

Even I can use some of models from last project,

but I have to do new models of Thailand attractions which didn't contain in TaluyTamTai animation.

I started doing the same in Illustration.
This time I put more detail.
For example, images of the Candle festival at Ubonratchatani.

It has a lot of small detail, and I spent quite a lot time with it.

Process: Developed texturing

I was developed texture of the naga.
By added Thai pattern and flower.
Made it seems to be more thai style.

Process: Characters

For Outstanding Character of the four sectors.

I chose Tuktuk car for the Central, Plane for North, Whale for South and King of Naga for Southeast
I designed them to be in Paper craft style

I have not finished the texture of Naga yet.
Much more needs to be change.

Finally, the work for client have finisheddd!
While there is some things I could not indulge myself.
I must put the needs of customers.
However, I found that Animation was not the best yet. And found many flaws.
Which is good for me to develop and corrected it in my Negotiated Project.

TaLuyTamTai: Character development Process

First design for MC Character,

I designed him as a paper craft doll, to get along with the paper pop-up style

Color+Texture:

Left; I used yellow and red for the plane. It was too colorful and the solid color didn't make it outstanding enough. So, I made new texture, white and red with paper texture. I decreased the size of stripes and put two lines on the body plane. Now, it's look more cool!

Develop 2: The MC didn't like his character that I designed, because he didn't like his square shape. So, I changed him to the oval one, which doesn't look like paper craft anymore -.- That's fine...

Lucky me!

It was my super lucky that my friend introduced me to one guy.He is a producer and now making a variety and travel TV show call 'TaLuyTamTai' or 'Let's adventure with Tai' which is going to be release in Thailand on Channel 5.

And here he wants an animation title sequence for the TV show, length 15 seconds. So I showed him my Storyboard and process which I prepared for Negotiated Project. The producer satisfied with it and decided to buy my work. By cut out the original storyboard from 20 sec. to 15 sec. And also change the main 4 characters to be the MC of the show. The MC is 'Tai Tanapon', the famous actor in Thailand. The producer wan to apply the MC drive the plane andFly through the various attractions, to meet the TV show Logo in the end. The duration of work, is only one month!

But from the latest experiment, how to transformed vector file to 3d object helped me sure that I could finish work on time!
